That actually would be the move if i was MVP's handlers.

Hes going to need a decent amount of time to work on what was exposed tonight. TDD and getting up is going to take some time.

UFC? He will lose to Lima. By sub.

But good job on MVP for getting the win in such a close fight.

He hasn't faced a single legitimate wrestler. He had a life and death struggle, just to not be grinded out by Paul fucking Daley.

He's 31 and they've known his ground game is his weak spot his whole career, if it hasn't improved drastically by now what makes you think a few more years will make a difference?

Lima will destroy this man.  MVP was extremely humble towards Lima .  Douglas is a real deal top WW .  I agree MVP, or atleast hope for MVPs sake, will somehow dodge this bout .

MVP brought an interesting element to mma.  That fire he lit got put out tonight, by English wrestling .

He has trained it at least a decade? You think his wrestling and grappling is going to blossom at his age after ten years of training? Come on. He is a eccentric striker with limited grappling aptitude and nothing will change that.

No doubt. Lima is such an awful matchup for him. Cant see how he wins.

People are talking like he lost tonight, he beat his biggest test, good on him.

He's still fairly new to MMA, I'm not sure why people are expecting so much from him.

Well hes gotten away with it until now.... but now everybody knows the blueprint. If they dont fix that shit like asap he wont have a career for long even in bellator.

Hes great but obviously he isnt working on his takedown defense that much he didnt even know basic shit like head control off of a sprawl. He hit perfect sprawls he almost did the splits on one and still got taken down because he didnt control the head or get under hooks.

Its not that hard to improve his takedown defense. He might have to leave london shoot or wherever hes training because obviously it hasnt been addressed. AKA for example would tighten that shit up quickly.

Why worry about the UFC? Every fighter in this tournament poses the same threat to him.

Anyone who gets taken down by an Englishman should be forced to retire from MMA and just pray for some kickboxing and boxing fights.

The Brits takedowns and control, lol.

Good for his win. Based on previous opponents, daley was a big step up .And its time for him to step back down a bit.

You think so? Its not that hard to teach somebody how to get up off the cage and how to stop a takedown.

You can tell he hasnt been taught or he doesnt know how to get back up.

Thats not a learning issue i dont think knows how thats a coaching issue.

The kids dC teaches wrestling know how to control the head off a sprawl but mvp doesnt.

c'mon I think its pretty clear he isnt being taught these things that he should know at this level.

I think you are all just hating, he will be way more prepared for Lima, Daley tried to punk mma with this fight and still got beat.

This.

But every weekend we have to see “such and such would get smashed by this guy” or “this dude got exposed”. I don’t understand this attitude or where it comes from, but MVP is exciting to watch.

I don’t pray for anyone’s downfall, not to mention he didn’t even lose. Why can’t people just enjoy the fights and relish the exciting parts?

He's not fairly new to mma. He had his first fight in 2012. Which means he was probably training  since 2011 or 2010. He's fairly new to top competition lol.
