I’m not mad actually.  Smart veteran move but a little cheap imo

Got the winners purse in a fight he was losing. He's no dummy.

Should have been no contest, clearly knee wasn’t intentional

He's got nothing left for the UFC. He needs to be cut. Dana make it happen.

Not really, I mean you have to be an idiot to not know what he was doing

That was as blatant as it gets, but you can’t blame him at this point of his career

Ugh, he didn’t ‘sell it’ at all. He blatantly asked if it was a DQ and didn’t act hurt at all.

’Selling it’ is when you pretend to be too injured to continue when you’re fine.

I’m surprised since I have never seen Diego quit before. But when I heard him ask “will he get disqualified” I knew he wanted out of the fight. No disrespect to Diego, that’s just surprising because he’s the definition of tough.

He could have continued but when you know you can get a Win and a double your money from your opponent breaking the rules, smart move.  Diego was losing that fight.

Yeah probably, although that was a pretty brutal knee. I've seen guys quit for worse reasons.

Way to fight your career like a warrior and finish it like a big ass pussy.

You're right. He made a calculated decision.

clearly not intentional? more like clearly intentional. Diego's entire hip and shin were flat on the mat.

Yes it was.  Perriera was arguing with the Ref after he did it.  He thought it was legal.

Before the fight I told my son to pay attention because he was about to watch a legend who could retire at any point. When the knee happened I told my son that Diego won't quit, he doesn't have it in him. I was wrong. I don't like being that guy, but it is definitely time for Diego to end it.

Diego is the last guy I would expect that out of. He surprised me with that move. Definitely played it off to get the DQ. He was fine.

Yeah it was totally illegal and Diego was in the right but idk the whole fight was weird start to finish and giving Diego a victory seems just as strange.

Like DC said you gotta give them a reason not to throw illegal shots like that, and a DQ in a fight you were winning will surely do it.

Just a weird fight and leaves me worried about Diego. Always been a little eccentric but his 'coach' has Edmond vibes. Plus Diego drooling and foaming at the mouth and using the strategy he had has me wondering if he has some brain trauma.

He's been in some wars and I remember the Penn fight where he took that huge head kick and kept ticking..the body can only take so many of those.

Love watching Diego fight, but that was hard to watch.

He wanted the win bonus. Lousy situation, but it's sadly the smart thing to do.

He did sell it. Listen to the very end of the fight. He said he couldn’t see because of the knee and the blood.
